Partner Visa Subclass 309 & 100
The Partner (Provisional and Migrant) Visa – Subclass 309 & 100 allows the partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia.
It is a two-stage visa:
- Subclass 309 is the temporary visa, granted first.
- Subclass 100 is the permanent visa, granted later once eligibility is met.
Requirements for Partner Visa 309 and 100
To apply for the Partner Visa (Subclass 309 & 100), applicants must meet the following requirements:
- You must be outside Australia when applying.
- You must be married to or in a de facto relationship with an eligible Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen.
- The relationship must be genuine and continuing.
- You must meet health and character requirements.
- You and your partner must provide proof of relationship, such as joint financial records, shared household evidence, and social recognition.
- You must have no outstanding debts to the Australian Government.
