Requirements for Business Talent (Subclass 132) Visa
To be eligible for the Subclass 132 Visa, applicants must meet the following key requirements:
Nomination by a State or Territory Government: You must be officially nominated by an Australian state or territory before you can apply.
Successful Business Background: You should have a proven track record of owning or managing a successful business with a strong annual turnover (usually at least AUD 3 million in recent years).
High Net Business and Personal Assets: You must have net assets of at least AUD 1.5 million that are legally acquired and available for transfer to Australia within two years of the visa being granted.
Ownership Stake You must own at least:
• 30% of a business with turnover under AUD 400,000, or
• 10% of a publicly listed company.
Commitment to Establish or Manage a Business: You must genuinely intend to either establish a new business or actively participate in the management of an existing business in Australia.
Age Limit: Generally, you must be under 55 years of age. However, a state or territory can waive this requirement if your proposed business will bring exceptional economic benefit.
No Previous Visa Cancellations or Refusals: You must not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused while in Australia.
